Dutch Baby Pancake

This quick and easy recipe is protein packed and perfect for a busy morning breakfast with only about 10 minutes of hands on time! Slightly sweet and seasoned with cinnamon, this dutch baby pancake is a favorite in our home.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk or milk of choice
  • 1 Cup All Purpose flour can substitute for all purpose einkorn flour
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp Butter

Equipment

  • Hand mixer you can also use a blender
  • 10-12 inch cast iron skillet

Method
 

  1. Place cast iron skillet with butter in oven and preheat to 425℉.
  2. Using a hand mixer or blender, combine eggs, flour, milk, salt, vanilla and cinnamon.
  3. Mix until batter is smooth with no flour lumps.
  4. Pour batter into preheated skillet and bake at 425℉ for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately with maple syrup and fresh fruit, or toppings of choice.
